Plymouth's much looked over Island
Mewstone Rock
This impressive island is located just south of Plymouth off the coast of the village of Wembury. As you can tell from the image it is pretty inhospitable, the small building remaining was built in the early 19th century by Major Edmund Lockyer and remains as a feature today.
You don't often see this perspective of the rock showing just how close it is to Plymouth and how harsh the South side of the island is.
